Garden Cities and other ‘utopian dreams’

Everything you wanted to know about Garden Cities, but couldn’t be bothered to ask – my article in yesterday’s Morning Star here.

I hope this doesn’t seem mawkish, but I’d like to dedicate this scribbling to Bob Crow.  As others have said, I didn’t always agree with his syndicalist tendencies, but I felt a certain affinity for Mr Crow, not just because we shared a hair-do.  Above all – and again it’s interesting how many people have expressed this – Bob Crow properly represented his members in a way that many union leaders have forgotten.  The ruling class will be hugely relieved that he has been prematurely prevented from doing so.
